GCD AGM: Held at Sports House Varsity Lakes, Saturday 27th Oct @ 10:30am

To All Club Members,
Our Annual General Meeting will be held at our Club House; Sports House, 337 Christine Ave, Varsity Lakes on Saturday 27 th Oct at 10:30am (after training).
All members are invited to attend.

Please note ALL positions will become vacant and therefore I am requesting nominations.

For those of you new to the club, our club operates a two tiered committee; Executive & Sub.
Executive Members hold a vote. They must endeavour to attend all committee meetings, which is usually 4 a year and run for approx 1 1/2hrs at the most. Meetings are usually held straight after a training sessions.

Sub Committee members may attend meetings to offer advice or stand in as proxy for an Executive Member who may not be able to attend a meeting. For example, assistant coach may stand in for the Head Coach. Sub Committee members do not hold a vote, although often the Executive Committee will seek their advice/opinion on certain matters that affect the club.

If you are interested in a position and wish to know more about the role, please let me know.

Please do not be shy to come forward and nominate yourself, without a committee the club CAN NOT run and as the saying goes, the more that pitch in the less work required by a few!!
So please take your time to view the positions below and if you feel you can contribute to the club, please put yourself forward and nominate!!!

May I have all nominations in by 9am Monday 22 October, 2012.
Thank you
Kind regards
Julie

Congratulations to State Crews!

Congratulations to all crews representing at State Titles last weekend.

With a newly formed crew this year and racing in trying conditions it was a great effort to see our mixed 10′s and open 10′s make the Grand Finals.

After such a long time absent from the women’s division, it was also fantastic to see our women’s crew represent, only narrowly missing out on a spot in the Grand Final!

Well done crew and looking forward to building on what we have started for 2013!
